After a successful launch in late 2019, the Global Talent Visa Program, also known as the Global Talent Independent Program, is being expanded from 5,000 to whopping 15,000 places. It will continue to target the best minds from around the world in key sectors including advanced ICT and other technology.

Focusing on the new innovative businesses and to provide significant employment opportunities for Australians, Australian government is paving the economic recovery path post COVID with flagship program of Global Talent Visa Program.

The pilot program was launched in November 2019, with a sole intention to attract the best tech talent from around the world to Australia’s shores to maintain global competitiveness. Earlier government had planned to attract 5000 people as pilot program, with the offer of fast-tracked permanent residency in the program’s first year.
